Youth Programs

High School

Our High School Group at College Community Church encourages students to grow in the experience and knowledge of the Good News of Jesus Christ. We seek to cultivate a loving, accepting, and challenging discipleship community that loves God and neighbor.

Middle School

  • Our middle-schoolers meet together for Sunday School each week in their own dedicated space.
  • The goal of our ministry with these young people is to help them negotiate the rapid change that takes place at that age by introducing them to the life of discipleship, gathering them so that they can find solidarity and meaning in the group, and instilling in them a sense of trust in the church community as a whole.
  • On a monthly basis the group comes together to enjoy fellowship together.
  • Examples of their joint activities include summer camp at Camp Keola broom ball, pool parties, after-church picnics, cider making in the foothills.

Mentor Program

The Youth Mentoring Program at College Community begins for children entering the 7th grade. At which point they are paired with an adult from the congregation, selected by their parents and themselves, who becomes their mentor.

This same mentor follows them through to their high school graduation. Every three months there is an organized Youth Mentoring Program event where the group of youth along with all the mentors get together for an activity, such as walking Christmas Tree lane. One-on-one, the mentee and mentor get together for prayer, encouragement, and activities. This program creates a bond between the youth and adults of the church. It also provides a spiritual accountability partner, beyond their own parents, for the youth throughout this entire journey that is often such a difficult time in life.
