She is an avid cook and practitioner of contemplative spirituality and loves teaching classes and workshops in both of these areas.
Pastor of Youth and outreach
Whitney spent the first 27 years of her life in Kansas. It is a beautiful place that she loves dearly. Her journey into vocational ministry began in 2006 as a Ministry Quest Student. She then studied Youth Ministry and Camp Programming at Tabor College and graduated in 2011. After graduation, Whitney spent 4 years serving her alma-mater as an admissions counselor. Recently, she felt God calling her to Fresno and she is thrilled to join the ministry of College Community Church. She is passionate about outdoor ministry, hiking & camping, skiing, intentionally living a lifestyle of ministry, everything pumpkin, studying Greek, the Life and Teachings of Paul, the creativity of God, active peacemaking, and inviting young people to experience the abundant life Christ came to give us.
Sol is a Los Angeles native who has made Fresno home over the past five years. She first visited Fresno as part of UCLA's InterVarsity Christian Fellowship's chapter where she became passionate about making the gospel accessible to everyone. She currently attends University Presbyterian Church, and serves as UPC's Missions chair. In her free time, she likes to travel to new cities, find local coffee shops, explore bookstores, salsa dance with friends, run through new cityscapes and eat as many tacos as possible.
