Parish groups serve several important functions:
- Contributing to a welcoming atmosphere at church by contacting new attendees and welcoming them to parish events.
- Strengthening mutual aid within the congregation by organizing response to needs such as helping with a move or providing meals or visits during an illness.
- Facilitating activities and fellowship in homes and neighborhoods, such as the annual Easter breakfast.
- Promoting the well-being and maintenance of congregational life by organizing the annual discernment process, cleanup after fellowship meals, and assistance as needed for funeral service preparations.
